Buying Ice Time
As a Member of the IceTraders.com service you can search for available local ice to buy. These are local area ice times which are available from two sources.
The first is the unsold ice at the City and private arena locations. These are typically ice times that have not been allocated to one of the local hockey teams and can be purchased directly from one of the city hockey arenas or one of the private hockey arenas. The ice listings include the details on the location of the arena and the contact information allowing you to book directly.
The second is the ice that other members of IceTraders.com have posted for sale. These may be ice times they have as a result of practice or game being cancelled and they have posted on IceTraders.com as Ice For Sale, rather than allow the ice to be burned. These ice listings include the details on the location of the arena and the contact information of the seller allowing you to contact them directly.
IceTraders.com has a great Notifications system. Let's say you are looking for some practice ice in three weeks. You can set your Notifications to send you an email whenever someone posts ice in a data range covering the time when you want the ice, and even specify one or more arenas in your criteria for Notification. When someone posts ice for sale that matches your requests you receive a notification and can contact the seller with your information. This would include both ice that has been posted from a city or private arena that may have been cancelled or returned; as well as ice time posted by an individual IceTrader.com member.
